Must Haves For New Mothers – Himalaya FOR MOMS

If you run a search on Google right now for skincare tips, make up or hair; you’ll find thousands of results with majority being quite spot on. However, finding relevant information on intimate care for women is not as easy as typing in the right words. When it comes to hygiene for mothers, it becomes even more difficult. Well, I’m here to help you out with that but let me tell you straight up first that this post is a review of Himalaya FOR MOMS Intimate Care range. However, along with telling you what I think about the #HimalayaFORMOMS range, I will also share some tips and info that can be quite helpful; especially if you’re a mom.

I don’t think I need to speak much about Himalaya as a brand. We all know it. We all use it. It has quite a fantastic reputation in the market and with good reason. So there’s really not much I can add about Himalaya that hasn’t already been said before. So, I’m gonna get straight to the point.

1. Himalaya Nursing Wipes

The reason I’m starting with the nursing wipes is because this really is a unique product in the Indian market right now. I so wish I had these when I was nursing and expressing milk. I even suffered from a blocked duct for two months in the beginning and cleaning the wound was so difficult since Karma would feed every hour. It’s very important for lactating mothers to take care of nipples. These wipes gently clean and remove any milk or sweat remnants on the breast and help prepare you for breastfeeding.

Cleansing with soaps can remove natural moisture. And as it is, regular breastfeeding increases sensitivity of nipple skin, leading to sore & cracked nipples. We have all gone through it. The use of wipes before and after nursing improves breast hygiene and ensures comfort too. They’re perfect for traveling as well, especially when you don’t have easy access to water to clean. If you’re a working mom who expresses milk when she’s away from home, I highly recommend Himalaya FOR MOMS nursing wipes. They are free from mineral oil and contain 100% edible grade coconut oil that hydrates and softens dry nipples and protects skin from chapping.

2. Himalaya Intimate Wash

The pH value of your vagina is different from the rest of the skin on your body. Most soaps and shower gels are designed to maintain a pH value of around 5.5 for your skin. However, pH value for a healthy vagina ranges from 3.5 to 4.5. That’s why you need to and should use a separate intimate wash. This becomes even more important during and after pregnancy. Due to hormonal changes, the intimate area is prone to excessive vaginal discharge, irritation, and itching which increases discomfort. Pregnancy hormones cause acidic changes in the vaginal area.

Himalaya FOR MOMS Intimate Wash, enriched with natural ingredients like Pongamia Oil and Tea Tree Oil, is specially formulated for women during and after pregnancy to gently cleanse the intimate area, maintaining freshness throughout the day. It’s safe and contains lactic acid to maintain healthy vaginal pH value.

3. Himalaya Intimate Wipes

These do everything that the wash does and are perfect for traveling or outdoors. This is another product I wish I had when I was pregnant. But honestly, 2.5 years after pregnancy and it’s definitely a must-have in my handbag from now on; especially when I’m headed out. Be it events, movies or a general outing with friends, if you’re as fussy as I am about using public bathrooms, just get a pack of Himalaya FOR MOMS Intimate Wipes. They’re super convenient, effective and well sized. Most of all, they are made of natural ingredients like Lavender Oil and Pongamia Oil and are safe during pregnancy.

Whether you’re towering or tp-ing the seat when using public washrooms, the amount of bacteria that can get to you is high. So I recommend using a wipe after every trip to a public loo. Please do keep in mind that whether you wash or use the wipes, you should only clean the exterior of your intimate zone. Cleaning inside the vagina with anything (soap, wash or wipes) can cause some irritation. Essentially the area you need to clean is your vulva, the vaginal lips and the area around the clitoris.

There you have it… The latest addition to my body care routine. I personally loved the products and would recommend you guys try them out. Even if you are not pregnant or feeding, Himalaya FOR MOMS intimate wash and wipes should be a part of your daily life in order to maintain proper hygiene. Do let me know what did you guys think of the new range.

They sent me some other goodies too like the Himalayan pink bath salt jar you see in the photos above. Given the amount of running around I’ve been doing past 2 weeks with a road trip to Pune, a new tattoo and events; I’m gonna be soaking my feet in some warm water with those salts as soon as I’m done with this post… Which is now! 😉

The products were sent to me by the brand and I didn’t pay for them. However, the views and comments shared are my own. I will never recommend anything to my readers that I won’t use for myself or my family.
