Summer Staycation at Novotel Imagica Khopoli
Recently, we went for a weekend getaway to Novotel Imagica Khopoli. It’s just a 2 hours drive from Mumbai and is ideal for a short family holiday. Novotel Imagica is surrounded by the lush greenery of Sahyadri Hills and is located right next to Imagica, Aquamagica and Snowmagica theme parks. Hence, there is more than enough to do with kids there.
Novotel Imagica
Hotel
As soon as you enter the hotel, you get the #FamilyVacay vibes. There are battery operated cars and bikes that your child can ride around in the safety of the lobby for a small charge. There’s a game room with carom, ice hockey and even art related activities for kids. There are fun cartoon characters walking around and the staff is very friendly towards children.
Rooms
Our rooms were very cosy and comfortable and had a view of the theme park. They were absolutely spotless and very well maintained. You can order room service round the clock which is a big convenience as kids get hungry at odd hours and would even send up just a glass of milk late at night. In case your child has allergies or food restrictions, you can avail customised food options as well.

Swimming Pool
Their pool is one of my favourites from all my travels. It’s surrounded by hills and trees on all sides. There’s a really nice kids pool as well with sprinklers on the top but Karma wanted to splash around in the ‘grown-ups’ pool so she could jump. 😉 While Karma & I spent our Sunday morning splashing around, Karan indulged in other fun activities that the hotel offers like archery and shooting.
Food
The buffets at Novotel Imagica definitely deserve a special mention. There is a huge variety of food and desserts at every meal. Even during buffets, special requests for kids food were happily fulfilled. Their Sunday brunch is lavish and beautifully set up. The dessert table was a big hit with the kids.
The hotel also has its very own signature magical Irolic Parade where a blend of characters from traditional fairy tales like Tubby, Mogambo, Cinderella and Snow White march along with hip hop and freestyle dancers during breakfast service at 10 AM. It’s a lot of fun to watch and the guests join in on the dancing too.

Other Activities
There is a game room where activities are held for kids and adults through out the day. There’s a fully equipped gym and spa as well. I also really liked their kids room which had books, toys and crayons where kids could just hang around and play for a while.

Adlabs Imagica
Adlabs Imagica is a 130-acre theme park in Khopoli and takes one full day to explore properly. It’s vast and I really liked how so many rides were created on various themes from India. We loved the Mr.India ride which is simulated 4D rollercoaster ride. Karma is just 4 years old but it was perfectly safe and fun for her as well. There are many rides and experiences for people of all age groups.
Karma’s favourite were the mini ATVs. She loved driving those around the theme park and we had to constantly tell her to slow down. But this child had a blast accelerating her ATV. The guide first made sure of all safety checks and made her wear helmet and elbow pads. He also didn’t leave her side as she raced around and kept pace with her to make sure she doesn’t get hurt. Full points!
Here are some tips that might come handy while exploring Imagica:
- I advise going there in the evening in summers as it’s quite hot during morning & afternoon. Other option is to do the indoor activities at Imagica first and then the outdoor ones once the weather cools down.
- Please wear caps and comfortable shoes and clothes as there is a lot of outdoor walking involved.
- For people with babies or small kids, you can carry your strollers or even rent one at Imagica. There’s a counter for renting strollers as soon you cross the security gates.
- Carry water bottles especially for kids. Having said that, there are more than enough food and drink stalls and cafes spread through out inside.

We just did the Theme Park and skipped the Water Park and Snow World this time. But I have heard from friends that they’re worth visiting so it’s definitely on our list during our next staycation at Novotel Imagica.
If you want to know more about various packages and deals at Novotel Imagica, then head to their website, Facebook Page or Instagram. As a family, we had a great time and I’m sure you will too!
This post is in collaboration with Novotel Imagica. However, the views and opinions shared above are my own. I will never recommend something to my readers that I didn’t like or find fit for myself or my family.
